Account Information

When you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

User-Created Content

We store the goals, tasks, habits, and other content you create within the app to provide and improve our services.

Voice Data

When you use voice features, audio is processed in real-time through OpenAI's API to generate text responses. We do not permanently store raw audio recordings.

Usage Data

We may collect anonymized usage analytics to understand how our app is used and to improve the user experience.

• AI Coaching: Your goals, tasks, and conversation history are sent to OpenAI's API to provide personalized AI coaching and recommendations.
• Personalization: We use your data to tailor the app experience, including generating daily tasks and smart nudges based on your goals and habits.
• Notifications: We use local device notifications to send reminders and nudges. These are processed on your device and do not require sending data to external servers.
• Service Improvement: Anonymized, aggregated data may be used to improve our services.

Your data is stored on servers hosted by Microsoft Azure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
• Encryption of data at rest
• Secure authentication via Google OAuth (no passwords stored by us)
• Regular security reviews and updates

We use the following third-party services to operate Kalya:

• Google — OAuth authentication for secure sign-in
• OpenAI — AI text and voice processing for coaching features
• Microsoft Azure — Cloud infrastructure and data storage
• Apple — Push notifications via Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
